Last Friday’s gig at The Castle Hotel in Manchester went well. Obviously we didn’t get signed up but then we didn’t want to so we’re happy enough with another good performance and a good audience reaction.
The venue was tiny and by the end of our set when there was 20-25 people in there, it felt half full. I doubt you could get many more than 50 in there at capacity, 60 at a squeeze.
Some members of the band had friends, girlfriends, colleagues and friends of girlfriends in attendance at the gig and some of these filmed parts of the gig on their phones. The photos below are screenshots from these videos which are now on YouTube – search for Cinic Live and you’ll find them.
As expected the sound quality is awful, but they are great fun to watch as they make us look cool.
And what is more important than that?
We think we may have another gig this coming Saturday at The Salford Arms pub, but as yet we haven’t had any details so it could be an organisational disaster, or a complete non-event. We shall see. Either way we’re really enjoying our newly found status as an actual gigging band.
